As just posted by Chris, I'm sort of working with him as he has a GCC4
installation also. He had already confirmed it worked okay with just
Shadow. Initially, I started this as an LFS bug, but it appears it is
now a BLFS bug. :-(

However, fortunately for now, only something for the future.
