I went back and reviewed the bug. Thanks for the reminder. I still
want us to consider reverting to a standard bootscript, but also adding
the following:

<warning><para>In come cases, problems have been reported that cause a
"No soundcards found" error message on system boot. This is usually
caused by a slow system in combination with the sound drivers being
loaded into the kernal as modules. The recommended solution is to
compile the sound drivers into the kernel. A more complex solution
involves running a script in conjunction with a udev hotplug event. For
more details about how to do that see the <ulink
url='http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/hints/downloads/files/alsa-udev-initializaion.txt'>
alsa-udev-initialization hint</ulink>.</para></warning>

Of course the hint needs to be written.
