Richard,
BLFS is a very large and complicated project. I appreciate everything
the the editors do. It doesn't matter whether the contributions are
large or small; every little bit helps. If you notice, I haven't been
making very many updates lately either. We all get busy doing other things.

Is the problem that you don't enjoy being an editor or that you have a
preconceived idea of how much time or effort you are expected to put in?
We are all unpaid volunteers. (N.B. Randy, don't read the following.)
<NB> One of the "problems" we have is that Randy makes a huge number of
updates. He makes the rest of us look bad. :) I gave up trying to
keep up with him quite a while ago. Being an editor is not a
competition where we try to see how many updates we can make. </NB>
Being an editor means that you are trusted, but your level of
involvement is up to you.

If you truly don't want to make *any* changes, then perhaps you should
resign. However, if you feel that you can maintain some areas of the
book or can contribute in some other way, then I welcome you to stay.
If you can help out more during "crunch" time, so much the better. But
that is an additional bonus to us that is not considered a requirement.
