No, this really has nothing to do with speed. You can take all the time you need. I'd rather see this done right. I don't care about the time to commit. It was more frustration over where the thread was going. I'd just like this package really hammered out. All the docs are available for this to done really well with respect to both BLFS and the developer's stated line. And seeing how many support questions have come up recently, this seems like an important package to be done well. Fortunately, Randy, you usually do an awesome job of checking out all the options to their conclusion. I was just getting frustrated that there weren't more positive contributions in this thread.
