Not really a move.  It has always been there.  Editors are selected
based on demonstrated judgement as seen from posts and contributions.

New editors are always a bit tentative.  After a while, they develop a
sense of what is acceptable and what is not.  Even then, some issues
will arise.

There will always be some differences of opinion.  I don't see that as a
negative.  If editors are unsure, then they should ask other opinions.
If they think they are doing the right thing, then they should do what
they think is appropriate. Others will provide their opinion if they
think it is important.
