As it stands right now, I believe that this is the version that
will be going in the book as the first pass on the upgrade. And,
to the best of my knowledge, this will be the last version of the
6.x series that will have everything installed in the old manner.

So, I'm not real sure we need to consider this, unless we move
straight to 7.0 and never put 6.9 in the book. But even then, what
do we do, provide instructions how to do 6.9 as well? We surely
just can't say, "You can install 6.9 if you want to avoid this
200 package installation of 7.0. Please reference [some different
BLFS book] for installation instructions". :-)
