As it stands right now, I believe that this is the version that will be going in the book as the first pass on the upgrade. And, to the best of my knowledge, this will be the last version of the 6.x series that will have everything installed in the old manner. So, I'm not real sure we need to consider this, unless we move straight to 7.0 and never put 6.9 in the book. But even then, what do we do, provide instructions how to do 6.9 as well? We surely just can't say, "You can install 6.9 if you want to avoid this 200 package installation of 7.0. Please reference [some different BLFS book] for installation instructions". :-) -- Randy rmlscsi: [GNU ld version 2.15.94.0.2 20041220] [gcc (GCC) 3.4.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.4] [Linux 2.6.10 i686] 13:01:01 up 119 days, 22:25, 3 users, load average: 0.70, 0.24, 0.14 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
