When you talk about the international fonts and the unifont guide, will
you say something about how, if the text is in a language that you don't
have a font for, the glyphs will be displayed as a box with four numbers
in? Then put in a link to the unifont page. That's the only detail I can
think to add to what you said, a bit about the effect of missing fonts.

I had that issue yesterday. I thought I had amassed quite a reasonable
collection of fonts but when I opened a gedit.desktop file it had a row
of boxes next to the locale `or'. It took me about an hour to work out
where that was. I had the atlas out looking through the index for places
beginning with `or'. Of course Google was no use, how can I Google on
`or'? It turned out it was a region of India called Oriya and of course
there was a font available at http://unifont.org/fontguide/
