I haven't looked into sound much. If I can get a CD to play or a sound file to play, that is about the extent of what I've tried to do.
Tonight I was looking at NAS (Network Audio System) and saw that it had a server. I know that JACK also has a server. There is also MAS (Media Application Server). All are referenced by aRts. I was trying to find out if these applications were mutually exclusive or could be used in conjunction with each other. I still don't know, but I did find a site, http://linux-sound.org/one-page.html that blew me away. There are *hundreds* of apps. There MAS and NAS are both categorized as Network Audio JACK is a low-latency audio server and transport control interface Does anyone know if these apps conflict or support each other? -- Bruce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
