At this point, I have no idea. I would have to try it without the DTD installed to see what happens. Why I'm curious about this is because Tidy is the same exact thing. To build the man pages and quick-ref docs, requires the libxslt package, but the DTD is not mentioned. And now I don't know if it should or should not. Perhaps Manuel will comment with the authoritative word.
