In an ideal world I'd have got rid of those pesky gnome libraries ages ago, but I happen to think some of the apps (abiword, gnumeric, the gimp) are vital for me. Any information that will help identify the things I don't need (like hal, dbus) is always welcome when I next look at a version increase.
