Here's my main concern. Most packages install their app-defaults
settings and other info in ${datadir}/X11. What directories (and non
libraries) do you have in ${libdir}? IIRC, some things install their
configuration in ${libdir}/X11 and it wouldn't be the same if
--datadir was dropped.
Here's a few things I missed and would need to look at. These three
maybe should be in ${datadir}/X11.
/usr/lib/X11/Cards
/usr/lib/X11/Options
/usr/lib/X11/Xcms.txt
