Dear List,
two unrelated points:
XMMS does not have OpenGL (Mesa is specified) listed as a dependency. Is
this
an oversight? That's at

The MesaLib page says
It is not recomended to build a newer version of Mesa with XFree86 or
Xorg-6.9.0.
That's at file:///alt/home/blfs/blfs-real-src/BOOK-2006-08-21/x/mesalib.html

What exactly does that mean? Presumably it doesn't mean 'not newer than
6.5.0'
(though 6.5.1 has been released!). Newer than whatever comes with the
sources
for XFree86/Xorg-6.9.0 (i.e., meaning "it's not recommended to build it
separately")?
Newer than some unspecified older version?
Yours in mild puzzlement,
Bernard Leak.
