+1, not only is having to go to their site an annoyance, it's also
very slow, you have to wait for the page to load and -then- you get
your download, direct linking would certainly solve that.
There shouldn't be much need to explain the change, I'd expect more
support than complaints towards it, the way it is now is more cause
for complaints, and there's always the home link if people have a
particular need.
