If people use broken libraries that's their concern imho.

Anyway,
Xfce 4.4.2 is due to be released November 17th... and the fixes I
mentioned earlier will be in it.

I don't know if this changes your opinion about including or excluding
xfce 4.4 from blfs, personally I don't really mind one way or the
other. (I don't need the book to install it) But I thought you should
know.
