I would prefer that if it is the default, then BDB is used as
the backend (it is already available in LFS). Otherwise it should
not be the default.

I can help with if you like, but it doesn't need to be a big deal.
Simply list the dependencies (with an explanation about BDB being
already installed but not recommended for this application). Then
list the option in the command explanations with a *short* sentence
that says it is a good thing for IMAP support. It doesn't need to
be elaborate.

As far as Links goes, I believe the ticket is still open with
the fact about the graphics option shouldn't be the default, so
Links will be fixed before the ticket is closed. If it is decided
that the graphics option can't be dropped, then we'll move Links
to the Wiki and out of BLFS as it no longer fits in "text based
browsers" and it is not a graphical browser in the sense that folks
would expect.
