IIRC it started with not being able to download ESP.  The 
ftp3.easysw.com address in 6.2 is not valid but has been corrected in 
svn, and I may have had trouble with the http address.  It also wasn't 
clear whether I needed foomatic or not (the book still says it's 
considered a hack) and which driver should I use for my HP OJ 5610 
(eventually selected hplip-2.7.6).  I don't recall up to what point I 
went in trying to build ESP GS 8.15.2 or whether seeing that ESP/AFP had 
been merged into GPL GS made me decide to go directly with the latter 
(so "couldn't get it to work" might be a misrepresentation).

I was expecting BLFS 6.3 to be updated to GPL GS, but I don't mind going 
"outside the book" for this.  I thank you all for the recent flurry of 
activity to get it out.
