The ftp3.easysw.com address in 6.2 is not valid but has been corrected in svn, and I may have had trouble with the http address. It also wasn't clear whether I needed foomatic or not (the book still says it's considered a hack) and which driver should I use for my HP OJ 5610 (eventually selected hplip-2.7.6). I don't recall up to what point I went in trying to build ESP GS 8.15.2 or whether seeing that ESP/AFP had been merged into GPL GS made me decide to go directly with the latter (so "couldn't get it to work" might be a misrepresentation).
I was expecting BLFS 6.3 to be updated to GPL GS, but I don't mind going "outside the book" for this. I thank you all for the recent flurry of activity to get it out.
