If you do them, great, then all I'll have to do is check the installed 
files and sizes and md5s but I wouldn't worry much about them.  So far, 
not many of the instructions have changed.  As of yet, I haven't 
assigned myself to gnome, but I probably will go ahead and do it.  It's 
not as much of a headache as I recall...just a lot of individual 
packages.  So far, the update looks to be pretty uneventful.  Notes are 
being added to the ticket as I go through it.
