Well, I guess I stand corrected. Robert Xu has already said that he will
post instructions for Trinity.  Trinity-3.5.12 will likely replace the
existing KDE-3.5.10 in the book.  So, I guess if there is no interest,
KDE will no longer have a place in BLFS.  It's only been a day though.
maybe somebody will pipe up and save it.
