When you say "KDE will no longer have a place in BLFS", I think you mean 
that Trinity-3.5.12 will be the 'new-kde'.

I may be interested in adding Trinity to BLFS.  There seems to be a good 
start with

One of my systems is still using KDE-3.5.2.  It's old (Dec 2006) and 
serviceable, but the quirks show that it finally needs updating.
