 Strangely, the new grep caused collateral damage which I've fixed.
Toolchain upgrades are usually the things that cause breakage, but I
haven't seen anything so far.  [ full disclosure - my last full
desktop build accidentally used gcc-4.5.1, I haven't gone beyond
fluxbox with 4.5.2. ]  I'm more wary of the libpng upgrade
(might break xine-ui, I don't know, but the latest version of that
has fixes for libpng-1.4 as well as bringing in an extra dependency).
