I was starting to look at NFS and have come to a problem I can't solve
without a lot of research. I'd like to see if anyone here has any insight.

In the past, when I've used portmap and rpc.statd. I tried to build
portmap on my LFS7 system and couldn't because glibc-2.14 doesn't
install the rpc headers.

From one post I found on Google:

"Alternative libtirpc is also broken by 2.14, so there is no working RPC
implementation for NFS. It's a show-stopper for many linux users."

I can confirm that libtirpc won't build and their mailing list says
"they are working on it".

Does anyone know how to get NFS working with glibc-2.14 or have any
suggestions about how to handle this in BLFS?
