Yes, instructions were the same for 1.1.4 except you'll need to add 
--disable-nis to configure flags, and add rpcbind as a new dependency. 
I'm not sure about required vs. optional for rpcbind as I intend to 
stick with a complete glibc until downstream has suitable replacements 
for the disabled functionality.
