I could have sworn there was an update available in the summer. Maybe 2.1.24 was pulled? Whatever version I used was tested in smtp client authentication in postfix. Guessing it was around June. I no longer use it for server auth though, only the client libs. I now use Dovecot for plain smtp auth since I have to configure it for IMAP anyway, no sense doing double the work. >> >>> heimdal >>> I can build it but don't know how to test it. > 1.4 -> 1.5.1 (Sep 2011) > Also tested this summer, different than the book, but IIRC instructions were sane. >> If you do not know how to test it, just read the instructions >> on the page and follow them. IIRC, and as Randy said, the existing instructions were stable, and basic functionality was certainly tested, but that test server is long gone (along with all of the VMs on it). My current DS and mail servers are horribly out of date now, but I plan to let them skate by until after the holidays. I'm currently working on Xorg, and I intend to assist with the Gnome3 textual workload after that (if Wayne sees fit), but I can probably get those two (sasl and heimdal) done in early January if nobody else wants them.
