There are a couple of things (the gimp and poppler) that can use lcms1
as an optional dependency. Ghostscript can be made to use lcms2.
Mozilla no longer link to lcms.
I've stopped installing lcms1 and just install lcms2. The other day I
edited a photo and the gimp complained (with a popup error message)
about not being able to do colour correction so maybe lcms1 is still
useful.
