There are a couple of reasons to prefer trac. First, it makes it difficult to forget a task. It also documents technical details of problems that may arise. Probably the most important thing it does is let others see what needs to be done and who is working on what. I have a customized bookmark: http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/query?status=assigned&status=new&status=reopened&group=milestone&max=300&col=id&col=summary&col=owner&col=time&order=owner that gives me a nice summary in one click. Of course, like any tool, it can be misused. Sometimes tickets will be created that are better in -support or -dev but generally, I find it a very useful tool for overall status. Your use of a TODO list is OK and I don't have a problem with it, but it could also be done in a summary type ticket. -- Bruce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
