 I've been building 1.4.0 for $months, but it didn't seem an urgent
package to update, so I haven't checked that e.g. oggenc actually
works.  It's on my ToDo list (should I add it to TODO in the book ?
:) but not yet at the head of that list.  So, for the moment you
have an opportunity to do it.
