Fun and games building my new xorg. In particular, because I enable *all* the Mesa drivers I had to stick to libdrm-2.4.33 otherwise the Mesa nouveau stuff fails to build (Armin already noted this).
Unfortunately, this machine runs ati (and the default options in the Mesa build in the book to restrict the gallium drivers are useless for r600 owners, but that's not my issue here). I've been carrying a local patch (from debian - from freedesktop bug 47266) to fix the recent cairo rendering bug on the radeon. The new xf86-video-ati release (6.14.5) is now out and includes most of the patch. Unfortunately, it needs libdrm >= 2.4.35 (and configure continued without that, but make blew up with an unknown type name). Since there is no sign of a Mesa 8.1 or later release at the moment, perhaps I should commit that patch for the radeon driver ? And maybe expand the treatment of gallium drivers in MesaLib - I'm guessing that avoiding the r300 and r600 gallium drivers is there to avoid needing llvm ? ĸen -- das eine Mal als Tragödie, das andere Mal als Farce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
