I know Matt reads this list (unless he's been a victim of the floods), but I'm not at all convinced that everyone else on lfs-dev (and who has an interest in LFS itself, as distinct from lfs-derived variants) also reads this list.
The proof of the pudding will be when you announce a package freeze for 7.2, if you still intend to do that.
