I have to admit that I gave up trying to verify keys in mutt. From memory, it looked as if I would have to create my own key to do that, but nobody else is going to sign my key, so that seemed like overkill. The only signed mail I ever see is on public lists, so getting keys checked isn't even on my ToDo list. So don't let mutt stop us archiving gpg1.
