 I have to admit that I gave up trying to verify keys in mutt.

 From memory, it looked as if I would have to create my own key to do
that, but nobody else is going to sign my key, so that seemed like
overkill.  The only signed mail I ever see is on public lists, so
getting keys checked isn't even on my ToDo list.

 So don't let mutt stop us archiving gpg1.  Unless someone is using
mutt and shows that gpg2 doesn't work.
