You don't need a second PC. You can use free VMPlayer version on Windows to install Ubuntu and either use it to build LFS or simply tune it to get right settings to apply it later after windoze is replaced by it. But why all that trouble for building LFS if Ubuntu/Fedora/Other Linux is free anyway?
