But enough about ranting and stuff like that, I have some questions.

What I was unable to think of is a proper name for new book. I went with
systemd-ng (ng = new generation) but I instantly received a complaint so
the branch got renamed after just few hours. The branding in the XML
still remains but I'd like to use some different name if possible and
I'm interested in suggestions on how to name it.

bleeding edge - thesaurus entry

used for describing technology that is very new and has not yet been
fully tested to see whether it works correctly

I think that fits if you are doing kde5, wayland, etc.

Well, KDE5 is not part of the book anyways. I just keep the files and
commented out entry in index.xml so I can test and publish experimental
books which, from time to time, find their way onto my web space as a
"technology preview".

As for wayland, it's not really a new technology, but it's still not
ready for everyday use. GNOME 3.14 can work as a pure wayland desktop
(but still has to use xwayland for apps that can't work on wayland) and
that's why we added it in the first place.

Perhaps bblfs -- Beyond Beyond LFS

Not really. It's almost the same as the systemd branch + GNOME packages
(and 99% of new packages that are also not in trunk were added because
of that).

How about kblfs?
