I have no idea. On my Aruba, I noticed some months ago that the cpu window in icewm's taskbar had red along the bottom, and occasionally a lot od red - normally it is black background, with an increasing height of green for CPU activity, so all green if all cores are busy. That box does not get a lot of use, and I initially guessed that periodic fcron jobs (makewhatis, etc) just happened to be running because it had been a long time since I last used it. Then in December or January I fired up 'top' and saw huge percentages for Xorg.bin when the system is idle (just a couple of terms open). Checked that my other two desktops were ok (the R600 Turks uses a few percent, the intel uses a tiny percent). ĸen -- Nanny Ogg usually went to bed early. After all, she was an old lady.
