We all do the best we can, we all make mistakes, and often we have different views. Your opinion of the flags in firefox's install did not match my _impression_ from manual unlogged DESTDIR installs, but you made a detailed analysis.
What does currently annoy me is my problems with the cirrus and vmware video drivers in Xorg under qemu. But that is all *my* problem, nothing to do with you. Xorg-server-1.17.1 appears to have provoked the problems, but it is _required_ because of the security fix that prompted its release, so thanks for picking it up and putting it in the book. I treat this as a technical list, and expect to need a thick skin (as we say in English - i.e. any insults and criticism can roll off me without causing me too much annoyance). But then, I was already reading the kernel mailing list before I came here - that is not necessarily a place for everyone. And from time to time I have come close to telling whoever was in charge where they could go. But that would not benefit me (I'm still going to be running something close to LFS), so I breathe deeply, count to ten, and sometimes step away for a few hours. ĸen -- Nanny Ogg usually went to bed early.
