Chris narrowed down the issue in using xf86-video-intel with kernel-4.0. Problem is in the SNA code. Switching to UXA seems to fix the problem. I am using UXA for a long time now and didn't notice any problems with either kernel-4.0 or gcc-5. -- Note: My last name is not Krejzi.
