I don't think it is going to help us in any way. I have gconf, always, because update gnome. I vote for option a). As you often say, Bruce, we are in -dev. Cam't believe that firefox would become or remain definitely dependent as required on gconf2. BTW, wherever does the modification, it ould be done in the three: FF, TB, SM And please, remove from mosconfig libnotify.
