It's in my local copy. I thought I would try burning an audio CD so
that I could tag cdrdao. From memory, writing a toc file for cdrdao
is a fool's game (i.e. it usually does not work), so I thought I
would try brasero. Of course, I don't have any 44.1/16 tracks that
I want to burn (can probably find some later), so I went through the
soundfile-resample route (libsndfile, libsamplerate, flac to restore
to wav) and then sox to reduce to 16 bits [ that might not be
necessary ].

But brasero - which definitely references cdrdao just ejects the
blanks CD, and created a tmpfile that says:
Checking session consistency (brasero_burn_check_session_consistency
brasero-burn.c:1739)
Unsupported type of task operation
Session error : An internal error occurred (brasero_burn_record
brasero-burn.c:2856)

I have now burned that CD using xfburn, but I am uncertain if that
uses cdrdao (I assume it does, but I couldn't find the string).

Will give brasero a go when I can find a flac that I bought as
44.1/16.

This part of my testing is slow. I hope to get on to general gnome
stuff, but at the moment things are going badly - I'll reply on the
qt4 thread when I get back to that machine (things were also going
badly there - forgot to build ruby for qtwebkit).
