Well we have lfs-release and not os-release now. I'm not sure what this
fork adds. Right now it only copies a couple of files.

I'm not sure about this one, but the one in the book doesn't allow for
the for five specs in separate .d files. I'm not sure that matters all
that much on LFS, but probably better from a distro standpoint to use
the .d directory. Create a meta package that creates a dependency chain
and installs the one file (as all deps are met). I've been patching the
FSF one for 2.0 (redhat style) for a while now. The Redhat one is
available as well at:
