Does the text (end of the second paragraph in Microcode updates
fopr CPUs)
"New versions of AMD firmware are rare and usually only apply to a
few models, although motherboard manufacturers get extra updates
which maybe update microcode along with the changes to support
newer CPUs and faster memory."
not describe AMD microcode releases correctly ?
You are correct it doesn't seem to apply to any Ryzens, and the
updated Fam15h microcode doesn't apply to my Kaveri.
This is also the reason why the AMD example in the book is for such
an old machine.
