I guess it does, but it doesn’t say that even if there is a firmware
for your CPU family, it may not be suitable for your CPU. I didn’t
realize that, obviously.
The problem is that the kernel doesn’t report that it found a microcode
for the CPU family but rejected it for some reason: when you don't see
any updates, chances are you think something is wrong or missing.
