Specifically, mountcgroupfs creates
/sys/fs/cgroup/{cgroup1,unified}
and elogind
/sys/fs/cgroup/{elogind,uniifed}
My earlier investigation after mountcgroupfs failed suggested that
unified is the new v2 cgroup. I will be surprised if anything needs
'cgroup1' - but life is full of surprises.
Just for confirmation: modesetting works fine without suid (on my
phenom, which glxinfo -B tells me is an RS780 (a radeon 600 variant).
