My Haswell + Nvidia 210 worked as Doug's did. I jsut did a complete
rebuild testing Gnome last Thursday/Friday.
When I first tried though, the video cam up without mouse/kbd. I
realized that I had not started some of the boot scripts (probably dbus)
so I rebooted and all was well.
I don't know if you have PAM installed, but you probably need that for
elogind and make sure that /etc/pam.d/system-session is updated for
elogind.
