Hmmm, this message went to my spam folder, and I see that nobody has
answered, sorry for the delay.

I once tried to port lxde to gtk+3 (ticket 
http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/ticket/11679), and it failed
because at the time the various bugs had not fix.

Maybe it is time to reopen the ticket... Thanks for the report.
