For those who don't read -support: I've just hit a problem, initially reported earlier this month by Christopher Gregory, where libsoup built with meson-0.56.0 fails to link to static sysprof. That was supposedly fixed in meson by https://github.com/mesonbuild/meson/pull/7930 but rebuilding meson with the patch fro mthat commit made no difference to me.
So, I went for Christopher's -Dsysprof=disabled in libsoup. That built fine, and AFAICS there is no mention of downloading a git version of sysprof in the libsoup build (which, if I understood correctly, was why we recommended it). The dependency is auto, but of course I'd already built sysprof so I had to disable it in meson. My view now is that we should relegate sysprof to optional. But I'm sure people will disagree ? ĸen -- Internal error in fortune program: fnum=2987 n=45 flag=1 goose_level=-232323 Please write down these values and notify fortune program admin. -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
