I must have been evil in a previous existence, because I'm not
trying to use jhalfs to build kde.

In kf5 I stopped the build after a bit over an hour because nothing
was happening. The log said:

If I change the url to
https://download.kde.org/Attic/frameworks/5.73/
it then downloaded 101 files.

But of course, it then failed. The log ended:

I'm inclined to say that the URL needs to be changed, but what do I
know ? Anyway, I cleaned out /opt/kf5-5.73.0/kf5 and tried again.
No joy:

Now, a little of that last one might be me misunderstanding what
jhalfs is doing, but downloading from Attic definitely works (I've
just downloaded all of them again). And I now see that they got
downloaded by jhalfs to my work directory rather than to /sources.
But I'm ******ed if I can persuade it to do anything with the
tarballs.

I think I'll need to review whether trying to see if the
book's instructions work (to catch regressions caused by apparently
unrelated updates) is going to do anything useful for me, because at
the moment it just looks like a vale of tears.
