The link in the book gives a 404. If I go to https://github.com/rhboot/efibootmgr/releases I can use firefox to download 17 as efibootmgr-17.tar.gz from https://github.com/rhboot/efibootmgr/archive/refs/tags/17.tar.gz, but if I use wget for that the tarball is downloaded as 17.tar.gz.
At various times we've had notes in the book for using wget at github, but they all seem to have been commented out after the URLs were changed. At the moment I can't find any URL which works to give me a tarball named efibootmgr-17.tar.gz when used with wget. Oddly, a couple of attempts to try different possible URLS gave me pages with only 'Not found' on them (i.e. not the github 404 page). ĸen -- On average, the Panda feeds for 15 hours a day.
