I have a Radeon 7000, xorg-6.8.1 and no dri. I'm not a sucker for
punishment. Radeon owns some games company now that is churning out
games which require driver modifications to all 'doze drivers to get
anywhere near the best out of them (My windows kid informs me). It's to
steal a march on Nvida; Radeon have driver patches immediately for the
games, but Nvida, Matrox, and the rest has to start reverse engineering
from scratch.
What game do you play? Are you under Wine or lin4win?
If you want me to try something, let me know.
