    Yes, see http://blfs-bugs.linuxfromscratch.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1319

Tried that, couldn't get it working with Xorg. Then I uninstall Xorg and installed XFree, followed the same steps I did before with the XFree driver and it worked immediately. I'm happy I got direct rendering working, but I'm not happy that I had to go with XFree. Guess it doesn't really matter though until Xorg has more stable features than XFree and of course ATI has to support those features ;)

Hello Kevin, Thanks for your interest

Making a summary of what I have done:

I tried to install ATI drivers in XF86-4.4 following the hint of Patrakov and I got that error message

As sugested by Patrokov I changed to Xorg6.82 and I got the same error

In the ATI page there is not driver for XF86-4.4 mentioned. With which version of XF86 have you succeded in the installation of the drivers? In which directory have you QT installed?

I must find a solution because I have the screen blinking and with my old ATI128 I did not have this problem.

Best wishes

Beatriz
