No, don't use that hint - it gives bad advice. Just boot from the livecd, copy source files from /sources to $LFS/sources, and do everything else by the book.

There was no response. What bad advice does the hint give. Could you please be more specific.

1. It suggests not creating the LFS user

2. It says to make scripts to set up the build environment and remount file systems should you need to reboot. This in itself is not a bad thing, but judging from what I've seen in the support chat room a lot of people somehow mess it up.
