I believe if you want to build OOo2 when building against an
installed copy of Firefox, you need to omit the --disable-ldap
option and add --enable-ldap.

I will be updating the Firefox instructions next week some time,

A lot of the stuff you have in that configure line is not needed or
could break the build of firefox-1.5. For a sneak preview of what
Randy *might* put in the book, you can follow this bug
http://blfs-bugs.linuxfromscratch.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1707 . Plus,
you'll want --enable-ldap as Randy says if you want the LDAP support
in OO.

Dan and others, thanks for the guidance and insight.

I now have a brand new OOo2.0 built against Firefox 1.5. I used the .mozconfig from the above link for re-building Firefox with --enable-ldap. All built smoothly.

I am getting to the point where I can see myself really getting rid of M$oft for good! Hooraaah. Thanks to all for a brilliant project (LFS/BLFS), well documented and great fun! I can't really believe how many hours I spend building/re-building stuff just for fun...

My next project is build to HTPC/PVR based exclusively on Open Source Software; I've bought the box already :-)

Cheers

Alan
