Hi,
You need to install Firefox with --enable-ldap and when you compile Open
Office I removed any "--ldap" instructions to the configure command. It
worked fine for me :-)
I have not installed OpenLDAP and I used Firefox 1.5...
Read the long recent thread on the BLFS-Develop mailing list for the
latest instructions for Firefox.
